Tips for Secure Online Shopping

Here are some tips for secure online shopping:

  • Shop only on reputable websites. Before you make a purchase, check the website’s security certificate and look for a padlock icon in the address bar. You can also check the website’s reputation with the Better Business Bureau or ScamAdviser.
  • Use a credit card. Credit cards offer more fraud protection than debit cards, so it’s safer to use them for online purchases. If your credit card is compromised, you’re only liable for up to $50 in unauthorized charges.
  • Create strong passwords. Use a unique password for each online account, and make sure it’s at least 12 characters long and includes a mix of upper and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols.
  • Be careful about what information you share. Don’t give out your personal information, such as your Social Security number or date of birth, unless you’re sure the website is legitimate.
  • Keep your software up to date. Software updates often include security patches that can help protect your computer from malware.
  • Be aware of phishing scams. Phishing scams are emails or text messages that appear to be from a legitimate company, but they’re actually designed to steal your personal information. Don’t click on links in emails or text messages unless you’re sure they’re from a legitimate source.
  • Use a secure browser. Some browsers, such as Chrome and Firefox, offer additional security features that can help protect you from malware.
  • Use a VPN. A VPN (virtual private network) encrypts your traffic, making it more difficult for hackers to intercept your personal information.

  1. This company is a scam! They claim they are in Greenwood In but they are really in Dubai! Impossible to return. I sent an email I wanted to return my product because it s too small. They offered me $12 on an $85! I told them I will take $50. They are now offering $45! They say to ship back will be expensive! This is a fraudulent way to do business. They need to be shut down
