I don’t know what kind of sorcery this is, but if you had told me I would spend this much on a bar of shampoo and I would keep looking in the mirror (after it air-dried) saying “Omg, look at my hair!” I would have thought you were nuts. My hair is really fine and damaged from coloring it too much, but after washing it and using my usual deep conditioner, it was SO soft and had so much volume and it looked incredibly healthy and amazing. The only caveat is that I could see that it was taking out the temporary color I had used earlier in the week pretty good in the running water, so I don’t know how good it is with color fastness, but it made my hair look so good I didn’t care. Positive Reviews

Great product, helping with environment by less plastic bottle disposal and great for travel. By Pamela. Source.

This bar soap is definitely for fine or wispy hair because if you have normal hair (or even hair like the girl in the listing) the soap bar will not penetrate to your scalp to get it clean. I am sure it would work for most men with short hair. I do not have thin hair and my hair is long. After rubbing the bar on my hair and not being able to work a sufficient lather up, I ended up rubbing the bar between my hand to work up a lather to apply to my hair, but again could not get a good lather all the way down to my scalp… so YES… only fine or wispy hair will work with this bar shampoo. Otherwise, it cleaned the hair but left it somewhat dry and needing conditioner. My head was tingly where I did get the soap onto my scalp, and I found that the skin where the soap ran down my neck was rather tingly as well. The soap is highly scented. Based on the ingredients list, the first scent is lavender. The lavender smell was a bit overwhelming… but I am highly sensitive to fragrances in a hot shower. Regarding the eco-friendly claims… total thumbs up. It was packaged in a minimal box and came with a soap bag to keep the soap lasting even longer than it already normally would over conventionally packaged jars of shampoos. This would be great for traveling since it takes up so little space. Overall, a great soap for men or women with short fine hair and probably people who are not overly sensitive to fragrances. I absolutely love the idea of no plastic bottle! Recycle the cardboard, voila! I had never used a bar for shampoo before this one. I really love it! It’s easy to work up a lather on my hair and it was easy to wash out. After a couple of uses, it doesn’t look like I’ve used the bar at all. I think it will last a long time! So fun! And easy to travel with! This has a nice light scent to it, almost smells a little bit citrus to me. Overall, I really, really like this product! By Mingo. Source.

Been using Super Zero for about 18 months now and love it!! Started with the trial size. They absolutely last a long time! I have almost shoulder length hair and luckily, only have to wash my hair about every 4-5 days. On my 2nd full size shampoo bar in 18mo (includes the trial size ). By

Negative Reviews

I really wanted to like this bar shampoo. I liked that it did not have synthetic fragrance and I thought it would be healthier for me and for the environment than fancy salon shampoos. However, I did not find it easy to use, and worse than hat, it did not voluminous or shine my hair at all. My hair really came out flat and drab and I did not like it. I’m going to stick with the fancy stuff. By Backrowjo. Source.

How To Use

  1. Wet Your Hair: Start by thoroughly wetting your hair in the shower.
  2. Wet the Bar: Wet the shampoo bar under the running water to activate its lathering properties.
  3. Apply to Hair: Rub the wet shampoo bar directly onto your scalp and hair. Alternatively, you can lather the bar in your hands and then apply the lather to your hair.
  4. Massage: Gently massage your scalp and hair with your fingers using circular motions. This helps distribute the shampoo and stimulate the scalp.
  5. Rinse: Rinse your hair thoroughly with water until all the shampoo is washed out. Make sure there is no residue left behind.
  6. Condition (If Desired): If you typically use conditioner, you can follow up with a conditioner or conditioner bar. Apply it to the lengths of your hair, avoiding the scalp.
  7. Dry and Style: After washing and conditioning, proceed with your regular hair drying and styling routine.

Side Effects

  1. Allergic Reactions: While the product is formulated with natural and plant-derived ingredients, some individuals might be sensitive or allergic to certain botanical extracts or essential oils. If you have known allergies to specific ingredients, it’s recommended to review the product’s ingredient list carefully.
  2. Scalp Sensitivity: Some people may have sensitive scalps that can react to changes in hair care products. If you experience itching, redness, or discomfort after using the shampoo bar, it might be a sign of scalp sensitivity.
  3. Overuse: Using any hair care product excessively can potentially lead to scalp and hair issues. Follow the recommended usage instructions and avoid using the product too frequently.
  4. Transition Period: When switching from traditional liquid shampoos to a shampoo bar, some individuals may experience an adjustment or “transition” period where their hair and scalp adapt to the new product. This could involve changes in oil production or texture.
  5. Dryness or Stripping: While the product is formulated to be gentle, using too much of the shampoo bar or not rinsing it out properly might lead to dryness or hair that feels stripped.
  6. Individual Variation: Hair and skin types vary, so what works well for one person might not work the same way for another. It’s recommended to perform a patch test on a small area of skin before using the product on your entire scalp and hair.
  7. Less volume to hairs.
