With online stores emerging out of every corner, it is more important than ever to know which ones are legit, and which may potentially be scammers. Knowing the details of these stores is very important in figuring out whether or not they are trustworthy enough to make a purchase from.

Outletbird, as per their webpage, is a retailer of hoodies. They claim that they create visually appealing hoodies which reflect their wearer’s personality. According to Outletbird, their unique design sense sets them apart from their competitors. Outletbird also claims to be a shopping destination for fashion-conscious individuals. These are all big tales to tell, so let’s see whether they hold true or are all fluff.

After checking for the age of the domain on www.smallseotools.com, we came to know the domain was made just two months ago. This might raise red flags as brands with newer domains are generally more likely to be scams.

Furthermore, the brand does not have any social media handles. This is a cause for suspicion because, generally you’d expect a clothing retailer to at the very least have a Facebook page.

Perhaps the most obvious giveaway that Outletbird is not a legit store is the fact that they describe themselves as retailers of hoodies, yet their homepage shows images of sofas.

According to scamdetector.com, outlet bird has an extremely low trust rating as per the Scam Detector’s algorithm, at just 28.6/100

To add to this Outletbird does not have any customer reviews either. In the two months that Outletbird’s webpage has been functional, not a single customer has left a review of it. This does not reflect well on Outletbird’s authenticity either.

That said, Outletbird does have a valid HTTPS certificate and as of yet has not been blacklisted by any search engines. Furthermore, they’ve also provided extensive contact information, such as a phone number, an address, and an email. Their phone number, however, was unresponsive.

Customer Reviews

Outletbird’s webpage does not have any customer reviews of it. We went through each and every item checking for reviews but nothing came up about people’s experiences with the Outletbird.

We also tried checking on Facebook for any reviews that somebody may have posted, but we couldn’t find any. Similarly, we also tried finding reviews on Quora as well as Trustpilot but those searches came back empty-handed.

The Outletbird claims to be a retailer of t-shirts and hoodies. However, these hoodies and t-shirts are nowhere to be seen on their webpage. Hence, we cannot comment on the prices until these are displayed in their catalog.

Refund/ returns policy

According to the Outletbird’s webpage, they accept returns within 30 days of delivery. In order to be eligible for a return, an item must be in the same condition as it was at the time of receipt, unworn and unused, with the original packaging intact. Furthermore, there must be a receipt or other proof of purchase for an item to be returned. However, their webpage makes it clear that a refund will not be provided for a change of mind.

Shipping

The Outletbird has free shipping within the US, and promises to deliver between 5-7 business days. However, shipping can take up to 15 business days under extreme weather conditions, as per their webpage.

Is the Outletbird a safe store to shop from?

Websites with little customer reviews to back them will always be unreliable, and will involve an element of risk. There is very little evidence that suggests whether the Outletbird is a legitimate retailer, in fact, all indications point towards the opposite.

With zero customer reviews across any platforms and no social media presence, buying from the Outletbird is like making a risky gamble. Despite this, if somebody is prepared to give them the benefit of the doubt, they should do so at their own risk, as there is a good chance they will not have a good experience.
